First 3 months of the year reading and writing check in

I usually only ever do end of the year summaries, but I thought it’d be fun to try and write one each quarter to look back on at the end of the year.

Life check-in

In the interest of being a sensible, professional adult, all I will say is that I have started a new job and the change was sudden. My new job is great though, I get to be really creative in a nice environment for it, but the poor brain has been rung dry. All of this has had a knock-on effect on the rest of the things we will be checking in on.

My podcast is doing well, our downloads are picking up and we received 2 sponsorship opportunities early in the year!

I have been able to get back into my exercise routine since starting the new job and find more time/ willingness to pursue my other hobbies, so that’s been really nice. Somehow through this I have kept up with seeing my friends and my partner, but I’m hoping with nicer weather and more settled situations money-wise for all of us, we’ll get to do more fun things soon!

Writing check-in

I have written fuck all.

Besides this blog, I have had zero desire to write. I’m hoping that’ll be on it’s way back to me soon now things are more settled *touch wood*.

Reading check-in

Overall, I’ve read 26 books so far, so I’m actually doing well for my year goal.

Let’s bust out the Storygraph stats:

Audio’s been kind of the main one because I was reading a series, which was only four hours per book, for nine books. Plus, a lot of life has been happening to me recently and I can listen to audios whilst going about my day.

I feel really excited about this next bit of the year, I think good things are coming.
