Err, so this is literally what the title says it is, if you’re stuck trying to remember what book tropes you like so that you can look for book recommendations, I’ve made you a little list of the top 10 ones (in my entirely biased opinion).
*edit* Since writing this post, I’ve gone on to make rec lists for most of these, any heading in the brownish-red colour is linked to the list, enjoy!
1. Morally Grey characters trope
Ohhh I am sucker for this one, especially if he’s tall, dark and broody, YES PLEASE.
2. ‘Touch her and you die’ trope
Nah, this one hits every single time. Leave your feminism at the door. Bask in the glory of questionable men and cheesy romance tropes.

3. Grumpy VS sunshine trope
Now this one works for romance, or for platonic, or found family, it is pretty much is a universal trope that always works.

4. Enemies to lovers trope
Tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme, enemiiiiiiiies to loverrrsssss.

5. One bed trope
UH OH, there’s only one bed in the inn, what are we to do…

6. Found family trope
Now this one makes me feel so many things, I love it so much.
7. ‘Who did this to you’ trope
Especially if it’s an enemies to lovers story.

8. Fake dating trope
Now, I have a complicated relationship with this one because it relies pretty heavily on the miscommunication trope, which I find incredibly frustrating.
9. ‘Let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding’ trope
Oddly specific? Yes, but this one almost never lets me down.
10. Miscommunication trope
Now, like I said earlier, it’s not for me but some people like it.
