    I recently listened to The Ashes and the Star Cursed King by Carissa Broadbent, the second in the Crowns of Nyaxia series.

    My 64th read of the year was Anatomy: A Love Story by Dana Schwartz.

  • My roommate is a vampire

    Number 63 for the year, My Roommate is a Vampire by Jenna Levine. This was another fun holiday read!

  • Book Lovers

    The 62nd book I read this year was Book Lovers by Emily Henry. This was a great little holiday read and my second Emily Henry that I’ve read so far.

  • That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon

    My 61st read of the year was That Time I Got Drunk and Saved a Demon by Kimberley Lemming, from the Mead and Mishaps Series.

  • Ledge

    My 60th read of the year was Ledge by Stacey McEwan, an author I found through her hilarious ‘book husband’ skits on Tiktok.

  • A wizards guide to defensive baking

    The 59th book I consumed this year was A Wizards Guide to Defensive baking by T.Kingfisher.

  • Cemetery Boys

    My 58th read of the year was Cemetery Boys by Aidan Thomas. I’ve wanted to read this for ages, so I was really excited to finally get to it!

  • Romance reads from 2023

    So, I used to think I was above the romance genre and then… in the last year or two I’ve discovered I’m really not. I thought it’d be fun to compile a bunch of the ones I’ve read this year.

  • Divine Rivals

    My 57th book this year was Divine Rivals by Rebecca Ross, lauded by a lot of people as the book for ‘if you like Fourth Wing, you’ll like X’. So, did the book live up to that?

  • Hell Breaks Loose

    My 56th read of the year was Hell Breaks Loose By Derek Landy, a book set 300 years before the events of the rest of this Skulduggery series.

  • 5 Classic book nerd things I will not be doing

    While I admire some of these booktok girlies, I am not fully committed to the life, I have inconsistent goblin brain that will not allow it.

  • Love Theoretically

    Book number 55 for this year was #LoveTheoretically by #AliHazelwood. I have now nearly read all of her books, as they are just an easy go-to comfort read!

  • The Evergreen Heir

    The 54th book I read this year was The Evergreen Heir By A.K. Mulford, the fourth book in The Five Crowns of Okrith series.

  • The Witch Fires – The Prompt Project

    Another #prompt Project post, I simple pick a #writingprompt and write whatever my brain spits out. Today’s prompt is: The Flames lick up the girl’s arm, but she felt nothing. “Haven’t you heard?” She asked. “Witches don’t burn.”

  • The Golden Enclaves

    The Golden Enclaves, the 3rd book in the scholomance series by Naomi Novak, was my 53rd read the year! This book was the final one in this trilogy (duh, as it’s the 3rd).

  • Fourth Wing

    My 47th read of the year (and one I actually forgot to review somehow) was Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros. This book has been huge on Booktok, so, once again, let’s play the game of: does it live up to the hype?

  • The Spanish Deception

    Book number 52 of the year was The Spanish Deception by Elena Armas. This is another big Tiktok favourite, so, did it live up to the hype?

    My 51st read of the year was Beach Read by Emily Henry, I read this when I was having a very bad week and just needed some comforting fluffy romance.

    Now spicy/ romance books are a relatively new discovery for me, I used to think I was above reading smutty books with fairly predictable plots but turns out… I’m not.

  • The Last Graduate

    The 49th book I read this year was The Last Graduate by Naomi Novik, the second book in the Scholomance series.

  • The Waldo Rabbit series

    I’ve been listening to this five book series across a few months because some required a credit to listen to, so the Waldo Rabbit series by Nelson Chereta were books’ number 16, 22, 30, 45 and 48 that I consumed this year.

  • Top 5 books of the year so far

    I’m doing quite well on my reading goals this year and have so far read, or listened to, 47 books. So I thought, why not have think about my top 5? Will they be the same by the end of the year?

  • The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With Her Mind

    My 46th read of the year was The Girl Who Could Move Sh*t With Her Mind by Jackson Ford. Being 100% honest, I picked this up purely because of the title on Waterstones spree.

    I’ve worked in marketing a little while now and I’ve come to enjoy a good marketing meme because it’s nice to know we all suffer the same aches and pains.
