Life check in
I feel like a broken record, but just busy, my life feels busy. Between full time work, a long commute, trying to stay fit, see friends, family and hang out with my partner, plus my side projects outside of work like this blog. I’m a busy girl. You could argue that I need to let something go… but I don’t want to!
I may have to reduce how much I post here, because I feel like I’m doing a rushed job in order to post as much as I used to, I’d rather do higher quality posts, less frequently.
Writing check in
I received some advice on Tiktok to treat writing like I treat this blog or my fitness activities, and to make it a priority in the week instead of optional. Honestly, it’s not bad advice, because it’s the one thing I do keep pushing and then I come to do this quarterly updates and realise I’ve written nothing in three months.
Someone on Tiktok also said that ‘anything is better than nothing’ so even if I just squeeze in an hour a week, at least it’s something!
Reading check in
I haven’t been reading nearly as much as I would like to, but that’s okay, I’ve had other priorities going on this year and I’ve lost spaces of time I used to read in like commuting (as I drive now and live with the partner I used to commute to), my holidays are later in the year and they usually contribute a bit to the read count, and then I’ve honestly been too tired to read before bed!
Let’s break it down with the Storygraph stats:
(Ignore the minutes listened counter, it’s not accurate atm)

Reading challenges:
I’ve read 0 books out of 10 for the 500+ pages challenge
And I’ve read 2 books out of the 12 books tbr challenge
And 1 books out of 5 for the non-fiction challenge
If you care to follow me on Storygraph so you can see what I’m reading before the review appears on the blog, here is a link to my account.
